This is the bomb! I bought this a few years ago and I still use it. It goes on easy, its almost impossible to make a mistake because it darkens your skin very lightly but even for the first application, it gives one a pretty glow to your face. It has a light scent and it is easy to apply with the pump. You cannot use too much by accident, or spill it, etc. It has a great consistency like its name – cream gel. It smooths nicely over my face and neck. I highly, highly recommend this except for someone with very oily skin. This also moisturizes your skin too. Its a little pricey but I’ve been turned orange one too many times by other self-tanners and this will not do that. When this runs out I will definitely buy it again.

I am very fair, and in the winter I can look ghostly. I have tried various self-tanners and moisturizers + self-tanners and none gave me the same results as Clarins. This product delivers a beautiful warming of the skin, a sort of “radiance” just as the name promises, but the effect is very subtle. Also, I have sensitive skin and this cream did not cause me to break out. So, given that it works, why did I give four instead of five stars?

One: there is no color guide. That is, this cream (it is not a gel) is white, so you will not be sure if you have deposited too much of the self-tanner in one place. However, because the color that develops is not dark, any mistakes are easily covered up.

Two: the smell. It starts as a flowery sort of fragrance, but that fades into the usual “nutty” smell of self-tanners fairly quickly. It’s not terribly strong, but it bears mentioning.

Three: The cost. I think this is silly-expensive, and I am the sort of person who is willing to shell out quite a lot of cash on beauty products. Fortunately, a little goes a long way.

So, despite the drawbacks, I will probably re-purchase and continue to use Clarins Radiance-Plus due to the gorgeous color it imparts and because it makes me look healthy and “glowy,” even in February!

p.s. Read the two earlier reviews carefully; given the similarities, do you think these were written by the same person? Someone from Clarins, perhaps? Or did “Carol” copy phrases from “Cheryl”? Weird . . .

I’m pale so I purchased this product hoping to avoid streaks or obvious blend-in issues. This product delivered. After one use I held my hand to my cheeks and my hand was noticeably lighter (to me at least). My hairline didn’t show any signs of streaking. The tanning lotion definitely smells as strong as other brands, so I’d suggest using it in the evening on face, neck, behind the ears, chest, etc.

I’m slightly disappointed that this product caused small rosacea-related bumps on my face, but since I have sensitive skin I can’t expect much else.
